Inspired by graphic designers like Olly Moss and the countless knockoffs, I began a series of minimalist posters. There’s no thematic connection between the works, only that they are inspired by some of my favorite films.
This one is based on imagery from The Shining.
I had the early versions of these posters printed at the 2ftx3ft standard poster size. The minimalist design didn’t hold up at such a large size, so I went back to the drawing board. The new plan was a larger number of smaller posters arranged in a grid. With a smaller canvas, I enlarged the boarders and tightened the composition of each image.
